The Queensland Air Museum was established in 1974 and we wouldn’t be where we are today without our members and volunteers.

The Museum wouldn’t be where it is today without our members and volunteers. As a member and/or volunteer, you are part of an organisation which has a proud history of 50 years, dedicated to preserving Australia’s Aviation Heritage. Your membership and participation help to maintain and grow the Museum for future generations.


Membership covers the period from 1 January to 31 December, with renewal fees falling due on 1 January and payment required by end February to remain financial. New members who join after 30 September have their membership extended for the subsequent year.


PLEASE NOTE: RENEWALS FOR 2026 ARE NOW CLOSED.

MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO REJOIN.

  • Ordinary Member (Volunteer) – Full - $40
  • Ordinary Member (Volunteer) – Concession - $25
  • Friend of the Museum - Full - $80
  • Friend of the Museum - Concession - $50
  • Friend of the Museum - Family -$175
  • Friend of the Museum - Junior - $30

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

Ordinary Member

An Ordinary Member pays an annual subscription, agrees to contribute in a volunteer capacity to the Museum, and is ratified by the General Council. Ordinary Members receive the following benefits:


  • Voting rights
  • Can be elected to Executive or General Council
  • Immediate family members (residing at the same address) are admitted to the Museum for free
  • 25% off purchases in the Museum shop
  • Can borrow from the Museum library.

JOIN

Friend of the Museum

A Friend of the Museum becomes a member when their application is accepted, and they pay the annual subscription. Benefits of Friend of the Museum membership are:

  • No requirement to volunteer
  • Unlimited admittance to the Museum during opening hours
  • 25% off purchases in the Museum shop
  • Can borrow from the Museum library
  • Family membership is available for two adults and all children up to the age of 15 residing at the same address
